It’s election season and What’s the Story? is talking to candidates and discussing issues. On Monday, October 14, 2024 at 2 p.m. Marsha Berkbigler will be joining Janice to talk about the issues in Washoe County District 1. Washoe County’s District 1 covers most of west Reno and Incline Village. Parts of Reno in District 1 include the Lakeridge, Virginia Lake, Caughlin Ranch and Summit Ridge areas but does not include Somersett.
Denise Myer will join What’s the Story? on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 3 p.m. Myer is running for Reno City Council, Ward 3. Ward 3 covers a large section of east Reno that includes the west and east sides of Reno-Tahoe International Airport, plus the heart of Wells Avenue and the Vassar Street area to the south, S. McCarran and a strip of Veteran’s Parkway down to South Meadows.
Invitations have been extended to other candidates in Nevada. We will announce those interviews as they are confirmed. Nevada Question 3, Top-Five Ranked-Choice Voting Initiative is a hot topic for Nevadans. An invitation has been extended to the Democrat and Republican Chairs in Washoe County to share their perspectives. Many top officials both Democrats and Republicans oppose this initiative.
Janice will be at the Sierra Crest Apartments, 795 Prater Way in Sparks, Nevada on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. to discuss Nevada Question 3 and give a brief presentation. It is free to attend.
We will live stream these interviews on the LeRue Press Network on Rumble , on our You Tube channel or Facebook on any of our 3 pages: LeRue Press, What’s the Story or Book Hound. They will be available for replay if you miss the live.
