Who Is Behind the Push for Ranked Choice Voting and the Jungle Primary?
Follow up on topics from last week: Incentivized vaccinations? Are "asylum seeking" migrants taking American jobs? Who is reading more in the world?
In Nevada, former Governor Sisolak and U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, both Democrats do not support Ranked Choice Voting. Congressman Amodei, a Republican, does not support Ranked Choice Voting. So who is pushing for the jungle primary and Ranked Choice Voting in Nevada and other states?
We have invited Karl Honegger who has been studying the subject of Ranked Choice Voting in combination with a jungle primary voting method. Karl also assists with the Liberty Scorecard in Colorado, the most inclusive rating of lawmakers in Colorado, based off of how they vote according to Constitutional Principles. He is a board member of the Colorado Union of Taxpayers and a former candidate for city council for the Broomfield City and County. Karl joins What’s the Story?/Book Hound in the first hour to share what his research has brought to light.
We ran out of time last week so we’ll revisit the topic of your health care provider being incentivized to vaccinate your children. And maybe some of those tests seniors are pushed to take. And, are asylum seeking migrants taking American jobs?
