What Perspective Do You Have This Voting Season?
We'll talk about perspective in your writing too!
What do you think? Can you guess our word of the day? It’s never the obvious, but this one is easier than some I’ve posted.
Our question, especially for Nevadans, is what is your perspective this voting season? Are you someone who wishes it would just all go away? Do you never vote? Always vote? Only vote early? Only vote on election day? Do you feel it’s a duty? We’ll share some things that are happening in areas across the country in the voting season, but a good amount of those happenings in Nevada. Do you have a story about your experience? Share in the comments. Love to hear from you.
In the second hour, we’ll cover some perspectives used in writing fiction. Just a taste of it, but worth a listen. We’ll “point you” in the right direction!
Don’t forget about the Book Blitz too!
Tune in every week on Tuesdays from 3-5 p.m. We live stream on the LeRue Press Network on Rumble or on our You Tube channel or Facebook on any of our 3 pages: LeRue Press, What’s the Story or Book Hound. If you missed a show, we air on 93.7 FM from 7-9 p.m. in northern Nevada.
Looking for a good book to read? Check out hundreds of selections here. Plenty more new and used books if you visit LeRue Press Bookstore at 280 Greg Street #10 in Reno, Nevada. Watch for upcoming special sale days.

"Are you someone who wishes it would just all go away?" YES! THE TEXT MESSAGES ARE GETTING OLD! "Always vote?" YES, BUT WHEN I SWITCHED MY PARTY AFFILIATION TO NON-PARTISAN THINGS GOT MORE COMPLICATED. "Only vote early? Only vote on election day?" I'VE DONE BOTH. WILL TRY TO VOTE EARLY THIS YEAR BUT THE LINES ARE SO LONG. "Do you feel it’s a duty?" YES, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE AN OPINION ABOUT HOW ARE COMMUNITIES (AND OUR COUNTRY) IS RUN.
As a fiction author, I try hard to remain neutral in my writing but I'm only human. I believe all authors put their political/social perspectives into their writing on a subconscious level. We can't help ourselves. The challenge is not to be polarizing. We want to grow readers, not alienate. And with that comes the cliche... you can please some people some of the time, but never all the people all the of the time.
