Talented jazz vocalist, Maria Jacobs, joins What’s the Story?/Book Hound in the 2nd hour of the show. Maria, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, began her career in journalism, then got a second bachelor’s degree in music education.
Maria is a national voice over artist and smooth jazz recording artist whose original song, Pour Me A Cup of Yesterday, is heard on smooth jazz stations across the country. She has charted on the Groove Jazz Charts and the Smooth Jazz Holiday Charts in 2019 and 2020.
Maria is the Adjunct Professor of Applied Vocal Jazz at Kent State University, her second alma mater, where she graduated Cum Laude. She is a licensed music educator, a Principal Conductor and Curriculum Advisor for The Open Tone Music Academy, partnering with Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Don’t miss this 2nd hour of What’s the Story?/Book Hound featuring Maria Jacobs. Maria might even share one of her book recommendations in our Book Blitz segment!
In the first hour, there is no shortage of reports on the political scene. Garrett Ziegler has been making the rounds with his “Marco Polo” report about Hunter Biden and the Biden Family businesses, Congress presented a report about the Biden “business” dealings and John Durham released his long-awaited report on “…MATTERS RELATED TO INTELLIGENCE ACTIVITIES AND INVESTIGATIONS ARISING OUT OF THE 2016 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGNS”. Between the Ziegler report and Durham’s report, there are almost 1000 pages of reading available. A snoozer for some, riveting for others. No matter which camp you are in, we’ll be breaking down (very briefly) some of the points of these reports.
And don’t forget about the “uniparty” discussion Ed started in one of our earlier shows. Doug does not think there is a uniparty…what are your thoughts?
There is always a story and stories behind the stories too. Join What’s the Story?/Book Hound weekly.
