By the mid-2000s, we realized to be competitive selling books, we had to do something different. It was too costly to print books traditionally and we could not be competitive. This was still pre-Amazon/Create Space and Ingram.
The family huddled, invested in a print shop, and soon we were cranking out business cards, brochures, post cards, flyers, books, of course, and more—always with a handshake or personal touch, not just an email. Our bookstore grew too, stocking thousands of titles and eventually adding our online store. Customers didn’t just get products; they got us—real people who cared. Publishing was our root, but printing became our pulse.
